Dangers on the Road

Participating in a demonstration, freshman Zuleily Regalado wears glasses that simulate the experience of a distracted driver on Oct. 17.

On Oct. 17, Dignity Health came to Red Mountain for a class on distracted driving. The science classes did two different simulations of driving with different types of distractions that can occur. The students were also able to try the new glasses that simulated dozing off, texting, or getting a call on your phone. This class is trying to raise awareness of distractions while driving for teenagers ages 15-18.
