Feeding the Hungry: NHS Members Volunteer

Smiling proudly, National Honors Society members stand together in front of the Feed My Starving Children map of where all the packaged meals go on September 25.

On September 25, the National Honors Society went to Feed My Starving Children, a Christian non-profit organization that aims to feed hungry children around the globe. As a team of fifteen, they packaged 23 boxes of rice and soy for children in Rwanda. All the teams combined packaged approximately one hundred boxes which will feed hundreds of kids in Rwanda.

“Feed My Starving Children is always so much fun,” National Honors Society president Brandon Good said. “The two hours of packing food goes by so fast and everyone is super competitive because we want to pack the most food for children in impoverished countries throughout the world.”

Overall, the experience is rewarding and an easy way to give back to hungry children over the world. To volunteer, visit https://www.fmsc.org.
